Slow oats cooked with milk, vanilla and a dash of sea salt, topped with a generous spoonful of peanut butter, a mix of seeds and dried fruit, drizzled with just a little bit of pure maple syrup. If you're feeling like kicking it up even more, add banana slices.
This holds us all until lunch, and is chock full of fibre!
Yum.
sounds like my kind of breakfast!
ReplyDeleteThat looks really delicious - a great way to start the day.
ReplyDeletePeanut butter. I would never think to include it. I love the sound of this brekky. I'll have to try it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOh yum! looks good!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm...wish I could get my husband on board with oatmeal - baby and I love it with cinnamon!

Woah, the peanut butter has thrown me a bit, but the rest sounds delicious.
ReplyDeletesimple as that may sound, it's pretty much my idea of a great breakfast. I tend to add stewed-down fruits or stir in some jam/compote/honey instead of dried fruits because I love having some warm sweet juices running through, never was that much of a fan of the texture of dried fruits.
ReplyDeleteBusy mum of 3, if you don't like peanut butter, leave it out, but if you do, you'll be pleasantly surprised if you try it. It adds great flavour and a punch of protein which keeps us all from getting hungry 2 hours later. Try it!
ReplyDeleteShu Han, we also put homemade jam in sometimes, too - so good! I'm not always crazy for dried fruits either, but I can tolerate them if they aren't hard as rocks :)
