RIP my beautiful Grandma

Marjorie Ellen  ~  1920-2015

After 3 days of hand holding and bedside reminiscing, we said our final goodbye to Grandma Marj on Sunday, February 1st.  We are so very sad, but find great comfort knowing that she is at long last, free of pain.

"I love you...  a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck... "

XO

  1. Oh Boy. That's a sad one. My granny had a stroke a couple years ago and went from living independently to an old folks home where she was very unhappy. When she passed last spring it seemed at the time like a blessing that she was out of pain and misery. This Christmas was hard, though. I really miss my grandparents. They were a huge part of our growing up. It is nice that you play such a role in your grandchildren's lives, and include them in the homesteading life. Those are memories and skills that will last them a lifetime. This reminds us that life is a big circle and there is something comforting in passing on old memories and skills to the next generation. I hope that you find peace with yours xx Jill

  8. Im so very sorry to hear your news Sherri. What a beautiful saying she had. She looks like she was a beautiful soul, you can see it in her shining eyes, and she has clearly passed that trait onto you through the generations. Sending much love across the miles.
