I too have a wonderful supply of tomatoes from only 4 plants. (I thank God, as I love tomatoes!). Those fries look perfect. Your kids are lucky to have you :)
love,andreaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598627963589889513.post-84451311158653857212012-08-22T11:15:04.758-07:002012-08-22T11:15:04.758-07:00Thank you, notjustgreenfingers. Last year I canned/bottled a few dozen jars of tomato sauce for pasta and pizza through the winter. We were all so, so sad to consume the last jar a few months ago... I have a lot still to ripen and am hopeful for a larger winter stash this year :) Little Home In The Countryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14542813650753976168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-598627963589889513.post-9589823361919503562012-08-21T22:11:18.277-07:002012-08-21T22:11:18.277-07:00... when I say canned tomatoes, I mean ones I buy ...... when I say canned tomatoes, I mean ones I buy in a tin (usually imported from Italy). Surprisingly, they are usually cheaper than Australian tinned tomatoes - go figure! I used canned ones for cooking and store bought sundfried ones for salads etc.

Eating fresh tomatoes is very good for you as they contain lycopene which acts as an anti-oxident which can help guard against cancer. Your classic tomato sauce on the pasta looks so yummo!

PS - Love the puddy tat!

Cheers - Joolz

Joolzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07490462580345458546noreply@blogger.com
